Basin Complex Fire; All Flanks Active Into The Night July 2

I had to post this image before I call it a day. The GeoMAC mapping image below shows the Basin Complex Fire active on all four fronts going into the night. If you look at the Indians Fire western perimeter you’ll see active fire outside the containment lines. This could be a spot fire from the Basin Fire or a reburn on the Indians. Tomorrow opens a new chapter for the two fires and the 1,600 firefighters on the ground.

Kudos to Basin Fire Commander Deitrich and the individuals working on engine and hand crews. The Basin Complex air force has to be commended as well. This is a career fire for most!

The fire is currently at 61,000 acres with virtually no (3%) containment. The combined Indians and Basin Fires have consumed over 140,000 acres.
